BASISTAT is a program for calculation of BASIc STATistics on one-dimensional arrays of data. I wrote Version 1.0 in Turbo Pascal 3.0 and uploaded it to CompuServe about 5 or 6 years ago, and it was included in some collections of shareware. Version 1.0 apparently doesn't work on 386 or 486 machines, so I have recompiled it with Turbo Pascal 6.0, with the switches set that should allow it to work (I hope) on all machines, with or without a math coprocessor. H.Freeman and Co., San Francisco, 1969, and various routines collected by me. BasiStat can read data from a text file, or from the keyboard. It can also read data from the keyboard and create a text file, if desired. The text file created by the user can have up to 20 columns, and each column can have up to 1000 rows. The columns must be separated by one or more spaces. K-S Dmax is a test of normality of distribution (Kolmogorov-Smirnov). If you find this program useful, and would like to make a contribution (tax deductible), please make the check payable to "Minneapolis Medical Research Foundation, Acct. 5577", and send it to my secretary: Ms. Diane Loudon Cardiology Division Hennepin County Medical Center 701 Park Avenue Minneapolis, MN 55415 USA The money will go to help support my research on cardiac arrhythmias.
